Rotary Fundraiser Screening of THE TRAVELLERS
Grafton Midday Rotary Club is proud to host a special screening of THE TRAVELLERS (M) in support of Rotary's International Global END POLIO NOW campaign.
This event offers our community the opportunity to enjoy a powerful film while contributing to a vital cause.
From acclaimed filmmaker Bruce Beresford, The Travellers tells the story of Stephen Seary, a successful stage designer who returns to his small hometown to say goodbye to his dying mother. What was meant to be a brief trip soon unravels into chaos and emotional turbulence, as Stephen navigates family tensions, unresolved relationships, and a looming European opera contract. Blending humour, heart and drama, this moving film explores themes of homecoming, reconciliation, and making peace with the past.
Polio eradication has been Rotarys signature humanitarian project for over three decades, resulting in a 99.9% reduction in cases worldwide. Proceeds from this special showing will go directly toward Rotarys efforts to eliminate the disease once and for all.
