Adaptation Stories
Adaptation Stories - join the free screening at Saraton Theatre Grafton!
This Thursday November 6 @ 5.30pm
Local community members across the Northern Rivers are sharing their perspectives of adaptation and resilience through a series of six powerful short film screenings taking place across the region – called Adaptation Stories. Produced and curated by Living Lab Northern Rivers in partnership with the NSW Reconstruction Authority, the films feature eight Northern Rivers locals each navigating their own journey in response to a rapidly changing climate. Through personal storytelling and grounded local approaches, Adaptation Stories offers a compelling lens into how communities are reimagining their futures and sparks meaningful dialogue about what adaptation means – both within communities and more broadly.
Adaptation Stories is part of the Community Conversations engagement initiative supporting the Northern Rivers Disaster Adaptation Plan, currently being developed by the NSW Reconstruction Authority. It’s about starting conversations that matter, about how we adapt, together, to the changes ahead.
The Screening is followed by Q&As with local community leaders. Audiences will be invited to share ideas, ask questions and connect with others passionate about building a sustainable future for the region.
Free. All welcome.
